Ritesh Batra
Born and raised in Bombay, India, Ritesh Joginder Batra is a New York based writer/director. He participated in the 2009 Sundance Screenwriter's Lab with his feature project- 'The Story of Ram'. In 2006 he attended the Maisha Film Lab. Batra recently worked on a magic-realist feature screenplay for director Santosh Sivan and has been commissioned to develop another feature screenplay. His short film - 'The Morning Ritual' is on the festival circuit. He is a programmer for the The Silk Screen Film Festival. In previous lives, he has worked in video game design, management consulting, and disaster relief.
